A47 eastbound Postwick Interchange – resurfacing work
I’m writing to tell you that we plan to carry out resurfacing work on the A47 eastbound Postwick Interchange exit slip road. Once complete, drivers should benefit from a safer and better-defined road surface.
We plan to complete this work over two nights, startingon Monday 17 August 2026. We will work between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely, we will need to close the A14 eastbound Postwick Interchange exit slip road, and divert traffic as follows:
- Continue Eastbound: Stay on the A47 eastbound past the closed Postwick Interchange exit.
- Reach Roundabout: Drive ahead to the Brundall Cucumber Lane Roundabout.
- Turn Around: At the roundabout take the exit to rejoin the A47 westbound.
- Exit at Destination: Travel back towards Postwick Interchange on the A47 westbound to reach your exit and continue your journey.
Please note that there will be no emergency vehicle access through the road during the work.
