D-Day 80 Beacon Lighting – Thursday 6 June

posted in: News | 0
On Thursday 6 June the Town Council is proud to be part of the official beacon lighting taking place across the country. Our beacon at the Sir George Morse Park, Laundry Lane will be lit at 9:15pm, when the tribute to the fallen will also be read.

At the Pageant Master’s request, the occasion is being marked in conjunction with National Fish & Chip day, so Jason’s Fish & Chips will be on site from 5:00pm, alongside Cafe2U and the Thorpe St Andrew Football Clubhouse bar for your refreshments needs.

Residents are welcome to just come and enjoy the park with some fish & chips, get a takeaway, or stay for the evening and mark this momentous historical event.
