A1042 Pound Lane Cycleway Improvements – Road Closure
5 February 2026
Thorpe St Andrew, A1042 Pound Lane – Cycleway Improvement
Cycleway improvement works to add road markings and install cycle wands as part of Active Travel England Funding on A1042 Pound Lane are planned to begin on 23 February and take up to a week to complete.
To ensure the work is carried out safely a road closure for north-bound traffic will be required between the mini roundabout and junction of Pound Lane with a signed diversion route in place to direct traffic around the works.
South-bound traffic should not be affected and access to properties within the work extents will be maintained at all times with site staff working to keep any delays to a minimum during construction.
The County Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks people for their patience while these cycleway improvement works are carried out.
Works are expected to cost £14,500 and will be carried out by Norfolk Couty Council Infrastructure Department and their contractors.
